Classic Rock Climbs of Scotland: 2 days in Applecross with Tim & Charlotte

In June 2025 I met up with Tim and Charlotte in Applecross for 2 days guided rock climbing. With a spectacular forecast we climbed 2 brilliant routes (and one less so...). Including the Cioch Nose. A Tom Patey - Chris Bonnington classic featured in Ken Wilson's book "Classic Rock" and the simply brilliant "Sword of Gideon" (VS 4C).

Day 1:

We climbed the route "Sword of Gideon" (VS 4C) and then suffered our way up a neighbouring route named "Bumbley one" (Severe)... Would Not recommend to those that don't like vegetation and loose rock!
