Climbing Ben Nevis is a milestone moment — and the Pony Track offers the most accessible way to reach the highest summit in the UK. Whether you're chasing a long-held goal, marking a special occasion, or simply curious about what it feels like to stand on the top of Scotland, this is a day to remember.
Also known as the Mountain Path or Tourist Route, the Pony Track is steeped in history. Originally built in the 1880s to supply the Victorian summit observatory, it now welcomes thousands of walkers each year. Starting in the lush Glen Nevis valley, the route winds through stunning Highland scenery, passing waterfalls, rocky zigzags, and eventually leading to the wide, often snow-dusted summit plateau.
