Whether you’re new to outdoor adventures or want to build on previous experience, our Family Adventure Package offers a unique and safe way to explore the rugged beauty of Ben Nevis and the surrounding landscapes. Family-Friendly Activities Include: - Ben Nevis Pony Track Hike: Perfect for families looking to experience the iconic ascent of Ben Nevis with a guided walk along the famous Pony Track. Ideal for families with children or those new to mountain hiking. (only available to young people older than 12 with an accompanying parent/ guardian) - Single Pitch Rock Climbing: For the family looking to get a taste of climbing, we offer guided sessions where you’ll experience the thrill of climbing on real rock. No previous climbing experience is required. Abseiling: For a real adrenaline rush, you can try abseiling off small cliffs, building confidence and learning essential rope skills. - Steall Falls Wire Bridge Crossing: As part of your adventure, cross the iconic wire bridge over Steall Falls for a thrilling experience that offers great views and some exciting exposure. Family & Corporate Adventure Kit List For your adventure in the Scottish Highlands, it’s important to come well-prepared for a day of outdoor activities. Below is a recommended kit list for our Family & Corporate Adventure Events—whether you're tackling a scramble on Ben Nevis, crossing the Steall Falls wire bridge, or enjoying a team-building challenge. Essential Items for All Participants: Comfortable Hiking Boots Waterproof and supportive footwear suitable for rocky, uneven terrain. Backpack (25-30L) To carry your essentials, snacks, and water. Warm & Waterproof Clothing Scotland’s weather can be unpredictable, so ensure you have layers: Waterproof jacket and trousers (preferably Gore-Tex, or Macpac for budget-friendly options) Insulating mid-layer (fleece or down jacket) Lightweight, moisture-wicking base layers (top and bottom) Gloves Warm, waterproof gloves for colder conditions, especially if you’re tackling higher altitudes. Hat & Sunglasses To protect from sun exposure (even in colder months!) and for comfort. Food & Water A packed lunch for the day’s adventure, plus water for hydration. We recommend 1.5–2L per person, depending on the weather and the day’s activity. Personal Medications/First Aid Kit Bring any personal medications (e.g., inhalers, epi-pens) and a small first-aid kit for cuts, blisters, or scrapes. Pricing for Family & Corporate Adventure Packages Our pricing for these unforgettable adventure experiences is based on several factors, such as the number of participants, the activities chosen, and any added extras like food or excursions. We strive to offer flexible packages that cater to your group’s needs, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and memorable time in the Scottish Highlands. General Pricing: Standard Rate: £85 per person, per day (minimum of 3 participants) Client-Staff Ratio: We maintain a 1:6 client-staff ratio for the activities listed above. For groups exceeding 6 participants, we’ll provide additional staff to ensure safety and quality instruction. Additional staff may incur a higher cost, but we’ll work with you to ensure the experience fits your group’s needs. Additional Costs: Food (Homemade Pizza): An additional charge for group meals, including homemade pizzas for your team or family at the end of an action-packed day. Whiskey Tour: If you'd like to add a whiskey tour at the Ben Nevis Distillery, this will incur an extra cost, which depends on the number of participants and the tour options. Accommodation: If your group requires accommodation, we can help you arrange stays at Calluna Self Catering or other local venues at competitive rates.
